Introduction

Said to be descendants of The Messengers, the Tok'sin are an elf-like species afflicted with Corruption since their existence. Over millennia, they have learned to accept and even harness this Corruption to assimilate with weapons, making them formidable warriors.

General Anatomy

The Tok'sin have a humanoid physiology with distinct features that allow for unique appearances. Their lifespan is well above humans, with stages ranging from child to elder.

Overall Appearance

Tok'sin exhibit a range of physical traits:

  • Height: Adult males range from 5'4" to 7'2", females from 4'5" to 6'3".
  • Muscularity: Males are more muscular; females are leaner with larger hips.
  • Skin: Human-like tones afflicted with Corruption.
  • Eyes: White sclera, black pupils, and irises of any color except black and white. Heterochromia is allowed but without swirl effects.
  • Hair: Normal physical hair, any color achievable via dyes, including gradients.
  • Ears: Long, tapering to a point, with a unique crystal plate covering the concha.

Corrupted Skin

Corrupted skin is a defining feature of the Tok'sin. It cannot be removed and affects injuries as normal skin. The Corruption has unique traits for each individual:

  • Texture: Fleshy and warm.
  • Color: Darker than the base flesh color.
  • Required Coverage: Collarbone, trapezius, spine, neck, patella, and knee joint.
  • Possible Coverage: Legs, arms, torso, pelvis, and majority of the head and face.
  • Corrupt Eyes: Noticeably darker sclera, iris of any color except sclera color, and optional pupils.

Crystals

Crystals are another unique feature of the Tok'sin, appearing on Corrupted Skin in specific locations:

  • Shape: Depending on the structure type, ranging from block, long, to plate structures.
  • Color: Any color, single or a combination, with structures sharing the same color.
  • Size: Relative to their location, matching the size of the bone or joint.
  • Locations: Outer ear (required), carotid, spine, ribs, elbow, wrist, knuckles, hip, thigh, knees (required), shin, and ankles.

Assimilation

At the age of 20, Tok'sin with Corruption on at least one arm gain the ability to assimilate a weapon. This process allows them to store the weapon within the Corruption on their arm. The assimilated weapon takes on the appearance of the Corruption, with possible additions of Corrupt Eyes and Crystals.

  • Color: Matches the Corruption color.
  • Shape: Retains general size and shape but may have creative alterations.
  • Corrupt Eye: Optional, matching those on the Tok'sin, limited to one.
  • Crystals: Optional, matching the color and structure on the Tok'sin, limited to one structure.
